It’s been a long time coming, but I finally got off the sofa and put myself through my paces to complete the Rough Runner event in Oxford.
15km of running across muddy fields with 20 obstacles similar to those you’d find in TV game shows including a travelator at the end to top things off.
Even though it was a great day and I was part of a great team, it wasn’t just for fun. I ran in support of Parkinson’s UK who need more funding to continue the brilliant work they’re doing for both those diagnosed with Parkinson’s and their families. It’s a cause that is close to me and needs more people to be made aware of what can and is being done to help.
Although I reached my initial target from a number of generous donations, hence the pink wig, it’s never too late to give more.
